Neon Breaker is a brick-breaking game with a retro arcade theme. The player attempts to win gemstones, stars and trophies by destroying bricks.
The game starts on a main screen that displays an old arcade machine. Below it, the player can explore four areas. The Store button gives them access to free gemstones with ad views and other options. The Collections button reveals the different types of available balls and trails that the player can buy with stars and trophies. The Tests button offers the player training opportunities for each of the game's four modes.
The Mode button gives the player access to four modes (i.e., Infinite Mode, Gravity Mode, 100 Balls Mode and Survival Mode). With Infinite, the player shoots numerous balls at bricks with a cannon, four earned weapons and special skills. They attempt to break bricks for as long as possible as the pieces slide down toward the bottom of the screen. During the Gravity Mode, the player attempts to keep shapes from sliding upward in a container by shooting a ball at the objects. Gravity affects the outcome. The 100 Balls Mode requires that the player destroy bricks with 100 balls and special boosters. Lastly, Survival Mode offers tower defense gameplay. The player breaks shapes attempting to reach a central laser cannon.
On the main screen, Neon Breaker also allows the player to customize their username and review their stats in the upper-left area. Additionally, they can check daily tasks to earn gemstones. The upper-right area displays the balances for the stars and gems. The player can review a map with levels marked on a street that runs through a city.
